I like how Obama promised everything to everyone and in his victory speech he focused on how he wont be able to do most of it. So wait...you based a campaign off of telling everyone they would get something for free and now you are already giving excuses for why you can't deliver? All of the liberals at school were talking about how they hope people don't start to dislike him when he isn't able to do what he promised and they are worried it might hurt the party if he doesn't do everything he promised to do. I just don't understand. Healthcare cost money, welfare costs money, defense costs money, everything costs money. How can so many people believe they will get something for free with no explanation on how to pay for it? Its not like he will make healthcare cost less. If anything prices will go up once the government is involved. I have worked for the government...they aren't efficient at anything. It was almost a contest to so who could be the most lazy.

The bottom line is I am fucked. I am a single male with no dependents and no house. I make $67,000 a year, which isn't terribly much, but enough that i will be paying WELL OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH in taxes. Some of it going to good things like education, infrastructure, and defense but a large portion going to some sorry bitch who decided to have 3 kids and not graduate high school or get a job. Oh and now she deserves free healthcare too? A thousand dollars...actually maybe closer to two thousand dollars every month out of my pocket. That is a LOT of money in my mind.

I would love it if Obama could do all of the things he based his campaign on but not if I am going to be the one to foot the bill. I am far more liberal than conservative with most issues but I can't stand the abuse of the welfare system in this country.

I disagree. We just have differing political views. I believe what i believe and it is based on my life experiences and research/education. I have no problem with people having a different opinion than mine as long as it is THEIR opinion, not someone else's, and they are educated on the topic. Jago is a smart guy and from Madison, WI. I am one of the few conservatives in an Isthmus of liberals which are Madison.

It doesn't matter what we think here. He's always going to spout ---- off. Obama is just making him go over the top because he's black and he's socialist.

When we started Ron Paul threads this time last year he ranted about how we're all fake supporters and he was a libertarian first. Then he expanded on it to say that we're all 9/11 truther idiots and now he's ------- quoting Alex Jones' anti-semitic rants. King of the 9/11 truthers.

RS we didnt nearly cry as much as you did when bush won 4 years ago. If i recall we just dropped it and your man got in office. Now look what happen now. its a clear fact things got worse after bush was elected his 2nd term. I know so many people who made bush out to be more than he was and they def shut their mouths now since things gone bad. His popularity went down alot and not once did i or anyone on here came to you saying "I told you so."

bottom line is we really don't know whats going to happen and it too quick to judge right now. I mean damn the man isn't even in office yet

and you are assuming way too much and just crying like your on your period or something. He won end of story move on for the 100th time jesus christ

My thoughts exactly, people voted for him based on what he said he would do and now we will have to see how he is going to do it. Any president was in for a tough time but to try to do what obongo say's he can do in a time like this will end up being empty promises.
