Default Ran the galant at the 8th mile yesterday

Well beyond the fact that my stock clutch is now officially stepping into it's grave it was a fun day.

I ran 8.8's @ 76mph consistently. 3/4 of my spark plugs were fowled, and the car was literally galloping from mis-firing so badly while I was racing I was pulling 1.9 60ft's with the cluch slipping horribly all through 1st and partially in second.

Anyways not too bad for a mostly stock galant that weights 3500lbs with fuel/driver.

if you're misfiring, have fouled plugs, and a dead clutch, why would you continue to race?

It was misfiring because of the plugs. We accually ran to shucks during the "intermission" and threw some new NGK's in (hence why I knew 3 out of 4 of the plugs were fouled out) and did a quick re-tune and it pulled hard and clean. But test/tune was already over when we got back, only bracket racing so I didn't try to open her up.

The clutch wasn't that dead. Hell even today it holds hard in first gear. I just need to pick up a act2600 this week and throw her in, no big deal.

Oh yeah, these times were pulled all with 5,900rpm shifts
