Raised the boost. Holy hell

Raised the boost. Holy hell
I usually run between 9-11psi on the street and its now running 14-15psi. good lord almighty. The car is freaking insane now. I cant get traction in 2nd gear at all and its sketchy in 3rd. Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
A friend of mine rolled up next to me at a light. Hes got an AWD DSM with a t3/t4 and he revved at me, so we both took off. I hit 2nd gear and the car was wagging the rear end all over the place. Not a good idea.

i believe he has a ka24de (home made 't'), is the only difference is the de and det's a turbo? they have the same internals and bottom end? anyways, yeah, there's a big diff between 10 and 15, i found that out the fun way too

OH, now I see... I thought the little quote under his name was implying ka24 -> s20 as in he had swapped.
I'd be a bit more careful with the ka24, not as happy about boost usually.
As for the SR20s, they only came in DE (US) and DET (JDM), never in DETT, as mentioned, the was the RB motors, like the sexxy rb26dett from the R34 . The DET is not simply a DE with a turbo, DETs also have piston oil squirters to help cooling, stronger internals, lower compression, etc.
Sounds like he needs some sticky rumber under there to have more fun...

Internals of a DE is as strong as the ones in a DET...only that the DE has higher comp pistons.
The DET has oil squirters, but that's only necessary for track use.
If you got a SR20DE ..boost it..give it some 20 psi luv or 400whp luv.
It has been done many times before...it's comp isn't that high either think it was 9.2:1 or something like that.
