lol , it never bites. If you get it from a young age and actually look after it , its fine.

Very true , I work all day and even just giving it fresh water and food every morning before work , as you would with any other pet. The animal knows you are just trying to help it. Most people are too stupid to even bond with exotic birds , and yes they do need a lot of attention. But in the end its all worth it

My family had an amazon blue front for several years when I was growing up, and an african grey for a short period of time. Tico(the blue front, I came up with that name from Tico the Bird Man, a professional wrestler at the time) was a great bird...very loving and alot of fun, GREAT talker...he could emulate several other different sounds as well. He was extremely jealous of the grey while we had it...he would just scream and holler at that bird CONSTANTLY. We eventually got rid of the grey and then Tico sometime later on. I've considered getting a bird as a christmas gift for the whole family if I get a decent bonus(these birds usually go for around $750-$850). I'm considering another amazon blue or possibly a yellow nape...they are great talkers as well. I also like macaws and cockatoos because they get real big, but I'm not sure how well they talk and most of the breeds are usually pretty expensive(from a G to $1500 or so). Alot of ppl don't know that real parrots can live to be anywhere from 50 to 75 years old.
