Clutch out a little, brake in with some gas? That sounds hard. LOL.

Re: Racing Tips and Topics...
hopefully the track is flat so u dont have to brake, building up boost isnt going to do much for you as i already see you having traction problems without building it. Personally i like to slip the clutch a little, but dump rather high at around 5k rpm.... Better then bogging on. Key is not to get all excited after the initial launch, you have to let back off a tad about half way through the rpm band and then step on it again, from there on just smash as hard as you can and shift as fast as possible. Good luck man.
Tell your dad i give him props for getting own HMT style.
Hit us up with some track times and your progess.

Re: Racing Tips and Topics...
Thanks guys. 5k seems kinda high. I slip the clutch long enough so that my launch is a little spin and wheel hop then off the clutch with 3/4 throttle to about 5500 then full throttle, spin to 2nd gear and slip the rest of them without even chirping. I think I'm going to go around the water pit so I can have time to stage. They drop the tree as soon as the 2nd guy has staged. Guess I'll just race to be the first to the stage. If I race those 350zs, LOL, I'll be set for 20 seconds before they get done warming up there tires. Still remains for me guys, do I spin or chirp any when shifting or try and slip so I don't spin at all through the gears? Suggested rpm to shift at? Right now I shift at like 7000-7250, although I spun 1st too much and hit like 7750. Thanks again for all the replies!
