o.k., so i'm cruisin a little over 60 on the highway last night (spd lmt 55) in the right lane, there is a car just barely ahead of me in the left lane, cruising about the same speed (not far enough ahead for another vehicle to pass me), so then a big *** truck is coming up a little quick in the left lane and right about when he gets behind the other car (next to me), i speed up because it didn't look like the other car was going to move to let him by, so i just wanted him to be able to pass one of us, i guess he thought i was trying to block him and he fell in behind me, right on my ***, and my car is a little low, so his high beams were shining right in my mirror. about this time, we both get passed the other car enough for the truck to get between us and almost clip my bumper. so he guns it by me and right when i could tell he was trying to fly passed me, i dropped it down in 3rd (going about 70) and he's a car length ahead of me before i decide to gun it, so i redline 3rd and 4th and we are staying about the same distance apart, i didn't catch him, but he didn't pull away from me except for maybe a half a car, all the way up to 120 that was the fastest i have ever raced to, i usually just race off the line up to the speed limit or a little more (i don't have a liscence to be speeding too much :P ) oh yeah, for those of you that don't know, i just have a 00 si with stock b16 and i/h/e :P i'm not bragging b/c i know it's slow

 

canada ---- no! i would shoot myself if i was canadian it's a big *** truck with a turbo diesel, chevy duramax, have you been under a rock they're bad *** trucks and they're pretty fast too.......

 

crazy *** dessiel.. with propane those things are pretty fast.

ahhhhhhh, come on, you know how i feel about canadias i just like to mess with you guys, i don't even know why besides, the truck prolly weighs more than that, but has about 400 hp and 5 million pounds of torque, besides, my car, as slow as it may be, would punk your rex

 

Turbo deisel engines are proof that torque is what you need to go fast not HP.Those trucks only put out about 250-300 hp or so but they make dam near 600 ft. lbs of torque.

 

I'd like to have a truck to tow the civic that was fast enough to race if the civic broke @ the 1/4. Say 11 second or so, it's been done before just up the boost and throw some propane in...

 

If you want that jung get a Ford Lightning.They dont run 11s but they run 13s out of the box.On a big engine like that with some minor mods youll be there in no time.....or you could waite for that new Dodge 1500 SRT with the 500hp v10 frome the viper.I heard that will be out next year.
