Default R.I.P. D15b7 UPDATE "PICS"

Well i was on my way to my brothers pool tournament and an N/A civic wanted to race. So i decided to go for it as always and i was pulling on him in fifth and i was about a half car ahead (good race) when i came up on a car so i backed off and went to downshift to drop behind him till we passed the car and i accidently went into second going about 90mph and it just went goodbye. So i drifted off to the shoulder and shut it off for about 5 mins and pushed the car up and there was no oil in the road so i guess i didnt throw a rod threw the oil pan. But then i tried to start it and it just made a backfire sound and a nice large cloud of smoke came from the engine bay!! so i just locked her up and got a ride. Next step built z6 w/ vitara's and some tt rods and or eagles. Going for 350+ WHP. Any thoughts on a good turbo for my plans. Just looking for some opinions.

i'd normally say something like you're retarded for not knowing how to drive, learn to ------- shift, or you're gay cuz of the fact that you barely got ahead of a n/a civic at 90, but, ---- happens, we all make mistakes. thats a bitch. good luck with your new build

never understood the missing downshift. its basically impossible to miss a downshift unless you monkey the ---- out of the shifter, especially in a honda

I agree, but what the hell i look at it as a reason to upgrade and ---- happens i shall learn from my mistake and take my time downshifting instead of hastily throwing it down next time. Also is a z6 tranny better/same/worse gearing then the lx tranny for the 1320.

That sucks. You're not the only person tho so just live & learn.
The worse were the original 2zz-ge's on the Celica-GTS.
You'd be zipping along @ 9,200rpm, but Toyota forgot to provide an automatic lock-out to lower gears. So you accidentally drop two gears & suddenely the bottom end can wind up spinning ?13,000rpm in once particular mis-shift & the valvetrain can't keep up. Oooops.

Which is why they dropped the redline & fuel cuts by a grand LoL!
