Default Quick Question DPFI-MPFI

My friend just got a 1990 hatch. it has the DPFI intake manifold. I think it's a DX not sure. The motor says D16A6. My question is did this motor come with both DPFI and MPFI intakes? or maybe someone changed it some time ago. It had an intake, dc sports headers H&R springs and some 14" rims. I don't know much about older hondas, I already recommended getting a MPFI intake manifold, and he's going also convinced him on doing a homemade turbo kit.
Thanks

If your in the states, no, that motor didn't come with dpfi. I don't know about other counties. Someone probably but in the si motor, and didn't have the mpfi stuff so they just kept the dpfi stuff. I was actually going to buy a hatch for 700 bucks that had a d16a6 with dpfi. The guy told me that it was because the motor had a messed up intake manifold.

Yep, i'm in Florida, that's what I thought but want to be sure. This is his second car, he actually traded his first car a 91 Accord for this, the Accord was rice, big body kit, leather seats big shopping cart metal wing, looked ok, but in 8 months he had to get a new motor and new tranny. The new motor, used from a junkyard, messed up again,no warranty, so he found a guy that would trade, he wanted a CRX but got the hatch. The other guy had to tow the car home, my friend drove happy to his house. Funny what some guys will do for a body kit and wing.
Thanks
