Questions about pistons,
So, I have a Toyota with a 4afe engine. It's a 1.6 liter.
Has a bore of 81mm, stroke of 77mm and a wrist pin size of 18mm. There are no aftermaket pistons made for my car, so I would have to drop down 500 bucks to get a custom setup made by JE... and I don't really want to do that. I was going to go with some B16 pistons, however the wrist pin size is larger by about 3mm, so that's not going to happen. Knowing that there are many different kinds of people with different kinds of hobbies and cars and what not, do any of you know of anything that will possibly work? If not I'm just going to go with some stock cast pistons, but if there was a "Vitara" type piston out there, I'd be all over it. Thanks guys, Colin |
Re: Questions about pistons,
Any chance you could use supra pistons or anything like that?

Re: Questions about pistons,
i bet you could get your rods bored the extra 3mm bigger to handle those b16 wrist pins
