Question!
I have a b18b1 with a turbo setup ( i dont think the details are nessicary? ) and I have my computer chipped with Chrome for RC 440 injectors. My injectors are yet to arrive and I am in a bit of a pickle, I need to have the car running for reasons untold. Would it be safe to run an OBX FMU thats 12:1 on my stock injectors just for 3 or 4 days?
Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks, Greg |

Re: Question!
Canadian. And I diden't come in here to think up a super cool kick ass title or anything.. was just hopeing someone could help answer my question that I had but it seems that most forums around are over run by smart ass's that take a little to much pleasure in thinking up someting dumb to say other then actually helping someone out. But thanks for your replys anyhow.. and if anyone else could be of assistance I would be most greatfull... otherwise, please move along.
Thanks, Greg |
Re: Question!
The reason for the "smartass comments" were because you'd be more likely to get helpful replies if you had a title that summarized the problem.
Nobody asked you to come here so feel free to leave if you don't like it. Also, I don't know the answer to your questions, at least be grateful for the free bump. Nobody recommends fmu's for reliability but I guess if you absolutely needed the car you could run it. I just wouldn't go into boost. |
Re: Question!
well usually you get more views by putting an actual title related to your problem and by putting it in a different spot in the forum...anyway, run the fmu if you have to but dont use the chipped ecu with your stock injectors unless you can burn a new map

Everything is installed in the car and I am unable to burn a new map myself where as I had it sent away to be done. Is there a way to bypass the chip in my ecu? What are my options there. And I will have to retard my timeing myself if im not using the chip that was installed? |
