i have a question for you guys about ebay......my car is for sale right now and i have a reserve set for 3500 and i have 5 bids. The car right now is at $1,625. I have 2 days and 21 hours left on the auction, and im worried that im not gonna get enough bids. when there is a reserve on something expensive do people hesitate and wait till the last minute so they dont boost it above the reserve as a strategy?.i just dont want it to be because noone wants my car...another question do you or know people who "watch" items just to see what they go for or is that more of a response to the auction. for instance i have like 24 people watching my car...im new to ebay and want to know if its really common to watch things even though you dont want it, or is a more serious kinda deal....basicly what im asking is "do you think my car will go for my reserve or did i just waste my time".....i understand you guys cant know the answer to that i just kinda want you guys to tell me if you think my car will sell or if i should jump off a cliff cause im not getting the hatch.......sorry if i sucked up another post

Generally, ebay isn't the best place to make money unless you are selling something you bought for 2 dollars, got for free, or is stolen. There is just so much competition that the average ending bid of the said item is very low.

On the other hand, there very well may be a good chance of your car selling for reserve price, 24 people watching is a healthy number. Some of those watchers are people (like you said) who "snipe". They bid up at the last 10 seconds....which is very annoying for the seller.

A link to the auction would help us determine the chance of it ending at the reserve price.

BTW yes your post was a bit difficult to read but I've seen much worse.

hahaha you can see my old hatch that i wrecked a bunch of times in the backround of a few pictures....you should check that thing out haha....my clutch used to stick to the floor every once in a while..i think it was the master cylinder?...

24 people watching doesn't really mean too much. I bought a lot from Ebay and whenever I just clicked on the item to read the details I would then be considered as "watching" the item even if I wasn't interested. Either your gonna get your reserve price or maybe a little more or you won't sell it at all, it's as easy as that. You would probably do better to try and sell it in an auto trader or somrthing. I trust Ebay, but when it comes to expensive items i.e more than $1000 then I would rather pay a little more and buy it in person.

yea expensive stuff might be tough to sell on ebay...i sold a crashed up 96 hatch that i stripped pretty good for 700 in about 20 hours, it all depends how much you are loking to get and what type of car it is

umm to be considered a "watcher" you must click "watch this item", not just by reading the details.

Anyway, no offense, but your advertisement sucks. Horrible spelling and grammar, and you sound a bit shady when you say Normally when I am looking to buy something off ebay, I look for pictures first, then carefully read the advertisement of the item, then look at the price, then look at shipping.
