Prothane or Energy Suspension Inserts(upper)? .... after JimFab(lower)
Ok i have a 96 civic and it has almost 400k on it and all the motor mounts are shot so iam replacing all the motor mounts with aftermarket or new(with inserts) ones.
The ones circled in gray will be replaced with jimfab units
www.jimfab.com
and the other two circled in black will be replaced with new(oem) ones with inserts.
My question is what is better Energy Suspension or Prothane brand and do the kits include the two upper motor mount inserts.
www.energysuspension.com/
www.prothane.com
Thanks

Depends if you want to get the least engine vibration get those billet aluminum mounts, they'll chatter alot and I don't think they last very long. I just filled my mounts with silicone caulk (as already mentioned) and it works just fine like using urethane inserts.

I think Silicone doesn't get as hard as polyurethane, but it does the job and it stinks though...funny smell to it.
I'm filling mine with polyurethane from 3M they're not that expensive.
