Default Proofreaders please

i am not very sure if i am correct on this explanation of a catch can system will someone check it for accuracy, it is for a Accord Turbo DIY on accordinglydone.com and will be on here when it is finished. well here the passage is:

In the Positive Crankcase Ventilation System(PCV), a valve on the manifold releases the pressure in the crankcase back into the intake manifold to be recirculated protecting among things such as piston rings and seals. When you boost a car, you are adding pressure to the vacuum source the PCV system was using, negating whatever pressure you are releasing. So you need a new vacuum source and since the crankcase gas has oil vapor in it you can't just tee off another vacuum line and the valve has to vent back to the intake stream so the only place that has vacuum and no boost is the compressor intake pipe. And you cant get oil all over the compressor, so a catch can is needed between the pcv valve and the compressor intake valve. The catch can collects the oil vapors, and voila, a working PCV System.

i don't know what the heck all this catch can thing is about. i know what it's for but i don't think it's neccesary unles you're putting down 400hp. my car just has a new pcv valve and a breather. have never had any problems.

; instead of , after (pcv) change into to "to" "," after protecting deleter "among things such as" lose the "," after "car" delete "so" in front of sentence. put "," delete "and" add ";" between "it" and "you" period after "vacuum line" start a new sentence and revise it. infact rfevise the whole thing and try again... thank you engl 1101....bitches.

and if you're not sure how to do a writeup, or if its correct, then don't. not flaming, just a truism.

im not very educated in PCV systems thats why i asked you guys to proofread it(really wanted yall to check accuracy not grammar). But I do think i know a few things about turbos.

Hmm, hardly any of it is right. A PCV (positive crankcase ventalation) system relieves the pressure built up in the crankcase. This is usually regulated through a valve, but it isn't necessarily on the intake manifold. The air coming out of the crankcase is full of oil mist. Oil has a higher octane level than gas, so much so, that it's not neccessarily great for performance. So why re-route it back into the intake? Lean burning engines produce more nitrides of oxygen (not sure if that's the right name, I'll have to check that). To lower those emissions the mixture must be richened. Too rich, and exess of other gasses are emitted. Alot of newer automobiles run lean to increase gas mileage. To decrease emissions, the oily air from the crankcase is put back into the intake taking up the space of clean air, thus making a richer mixture. A catch can removes the oil from the mixture, while also venting the crancase pressure. Boosting can cause the PCV valve to shut, so it's best to vent into a non pressurized area.
