hows the ss turbo working out for you?? you said you've been running one for a while??

oh and a few questions...

1. what is that napa hose rated to pressure wise?? a good alternative to normal couplers?
2. what kind of rod did you use to weld the v-band flange to that exhaust housing?? arent those housings cast iron?
3. what did you use to flare that pipe out with on the press?

Yes I have, and its been running just fine.

1. I have no idea, but its 2ply, and I've used it on setups with around 20psi and has held just fine.
2. Just stainless rod, the housing is cast steal.
3. a brake lathe cone, just one that fit inside the pipe, then pressed it out. worked good.

I have heard problems of ssauto turbos being laggy. How are these? I was looking at one of his larger .57 trims for my new setup but I dont want full boost at 7 grand. Id like it around 4K.

dont know why I didnt think of that when you have it in the press have you had any problems with the other end crimping or crushing or do you not care and just cut that part off or only do this on short sections of pipe to get the reducer??

I'm assuming the latter but still curious.

get a smaller hot side. the will save some spool time or a a little higher compression to help build up the low end torque. im going to be running a nice precision turbo on my copper car project and only useing a .48 trim hot side. also a nice ballbaring turbo is goign to spool faster teh a regular cartridge turbo.

Holy crap jeff now i know why you were so busy and pushed my car in and out. You do a steller job man and i just wished i could have gave you my money instead and maybe i would not have needed to buy CP pistons. But then dave dosn't get another chance to tune my car either

EDIT and yes i was bening a -----. I am not going to sell my car. it runs fine and i freaked out over nothing. But you know how the women are when you spend all there hard earned money on your car

15k miles on it and zero issues before I sold the car. Hmmmmm......

Oh and I scored another one on ebay for $80 brand new that will be going into my Miata.
