Update time. I'm getting bored waiting for all of the parts to show up so I figured a little rice is nice so here we go (as always, thumbs):

Engine bay shaving:

Full engine bay shot, wires tucked:

All of the blue ricer interior parts are slowly becoming black:

Block assembled:

I cant tell if you honed those cylinders :l I sure hope so. Good going with the bay shave and tuck. I need to tuck mine one day.

machine shop honed the cylinder walls, installed pistons, rods, rings, bearings, thrust washers, and notched the block. When I think of notching a block I think or taking a chunk out of it with a dremel, the machine shop guy actually machined it down so it looks like it is from the factory. :)

It's definitely coming along very nicely man ;) Are you going for a professional paint job, or are you just going to ghetto it? :y Also, what kind of power are you looking for? Can't wait to see it all done

Pull off your fenders and run all the headlight wires through there, remove ac and power steering. If you want to do the tuck like me, then you have to pull the dash, get rid of all of the ---- under the dash (ac/heater core) then pull the harness back in through the firewall and run the headlights through the door into the fender, relocate the engine fuse box under the dash, then put the wires that connect to the engine harness through the heater core hole. If you need closeup pics I can get them for you. :)

As with everything else on this car I'm going with the "you can only ---- it up so many times before you get it right" theory and I'm painting it myself. Going back to Milano Red. My girlfriend gave me a set of professional paint guns for valentines day. I'm hoping for 300+ whp when it is all done, but at the risk of sounding like hotrex, I'm not going to give an absolute right now. All I care about at this point is to get the car running. :)

Dude, just hit your car with acrylic/enamel housepaint on a foam roller. Paint + supplies = $50, and no one will know the difference.

This thread tells all.

Haha, I found it on the Locost mailling list, forwarded it to the Shed and Fanglers lists, and they started flipping out (in a good way).

I've always been anti-painting since auto paint was expensive and autobody guys *real ------- sketchy and untrustworthy* from years of huffing solvents, but now I might have to change my mind.
