I'm going to strip it down to the skeleton and build it up again entirely pretty much. Once it is looking sweet I will rebuild the B18A1 in the INtegra and VTEC it then drop it into the CRX.

That crx is not too far gone. Just make sure you replace the rusted spots and don't just bondo over them like an idiot. Good luck on the project. My buddy and I are in pretty deep with one right now, fun but a pain in the ass. Its gonna be an original bad ass crx when it comes out for next season. Don't listen to all the haters, just do what you gotta do ;)

Wasn't planning on listening to them, just because they are too lazy for a full restore doesn't mean I have to be. I am going to completely replace all the rusted spots, not just bondo them over, it's going to get a full 12 piece body kit anyway... and no I'm not keeping the bumpersticker, sorry guys!

I was planning on a euro head and tail light conversion, so the Teg lights will be staying with the body when I seel it (after the crx is running of course).

If you find a aftermarket supllier of rocker panels let me know i have only found Honda and they want $125 CDN a piece[$1-110 US].Please done destroy that poor CRX with a body kit just do a JDM/Euro conversion.

I dont think there's anything wrong with bodykits, their a hell of alot cheaper that a jdm front end.. :6 i'd just keep it stock.. looks good and its cheaper, then swap that b series motor into it >:D

Update:

The Integra is now running. Funny part is that it wasn't wiring, they put on the wrong distributor and messed up the cam timing, luckily no valve sbent. But she is doing good now, just need the oem distributor. Now I can pull the crx into the garage and start stripping it.

The main reason I am putting on the body kit, besides me liking the look, is to get rid of the fender rust (back passenger side fender rusted) and damage on the car (front fender dented). Sell it...? no way! I love my little CRX. ;D

I could very well be wrong because I have absolutely no experience with rexs...but are you sure a body kit would fix the rust on the rear quarter panel? I don't think that's part of the body kit.

OEM stuff is cheap too.

Rear fenders are part of the kit. I was going to cut off the rusted parts, grind re-paint an dthen fit the kit on.

are you talking about the "black widow 12 peice body kit" on ebay? cuz i had a friend who bought it and it was a complete peice of ----. nothing fit right. the hood was an inch too long and 3 inches too wide. looks like some newb made it in his garage with ten gallons of fiberglass. the undersides of everything wern't sanded at all. still had little bits of newspaper on it. i laughed my ass off at him for buying it. he spent three grand on it, then went to a local body shop and paid them to "dry" fit it. which is them rivitting everything on. paid and extra 1500. and his excuse was they used titanium rivits. he isn't too smart though, he still believes he has a 24 valve civic cuz somebody (me) painted it on his valve cover before i helped him put the motor in. im still laughing at this dumbass and that was over a year and a half ago. he still hasn't learned ---- about cars, but i made money off him so im happy.

When I replaced my rocker pannels, I went to the local sheet metal shop and they made me a pretty darn close to exact replica of the rockers for 20 bucks. They were prob. a little bit more of a pain in the ass to install but for the price you can't go wrong.

poor guy.... That's funny though. I am looking at the Spyder Wide Body kit for 88-91 CRXs, it's priced at like $1000 and I knwo one guy here who has it and is very happy with it. Seriously though I am new to this so I am not sure how else to get rid of the rust, besides just cutting the ---- out of car's paneling and then trying to figure out how to fix it.
