All in all a good deal i think. I got the car off a guy on Honda-tech that bought it and didn't really know what he was doing. When i get the car it didn't turnover or run. I got it found out the the owner before the guy that i got it off of swapped the car from auto to manual and couldn't get it to turnover so he sold it. The guy that i got it from had it for a year and couldn't fix it. I worked on it for an hour and jumped the wires necessary for the manaul conversion and it turned over. Next it wouldn't run so i traced it down to the ground wire on the thermostat housing not being hooked up, i guess when they changed intake manifolds over they didn't hook it back up. I got it running. It has great compression. I got a new hood for $75 at the local yard, i need to get a new bumper cover as one of the owners drilled holes all over it. The guy that sold it to me thought that it has a bad transmission, i'm pretty sure that the clutch blew up and/or the springs came apart in the hub. I'm going to order a clutch and see. Hopefully i can sell the tranny and other parts to pay for the clutch. Throw a coat of paint on the old girl when i'm done with school in May and hopefully have a kit ready to go on by than.

Sweet pick-up for that price, if I had a black car it'd be black everything, black wheels, windows, everything.

Um rebuilt 2000 Civic SI with Phantom Grip LSD. Not a 88 DX Tranny.

I finally got around to pulling the tranny, took me about an hour and a half to pull it and about 2 hours to get it back together, would have went faster on the install if i'd a had someone help me. Looks like the last owner wasn't too easy on the clutch. It still had some meat left on the disc too, but oh well.

I'm shocked that a OEM replacement would have grabbed hard enough to do that. I can only imagine what the guy was doing to it when it let loose.
