Default Problem with "Hide/Show" menu

ok, so the new HMT v2 is up and running. this was never a problem until about 20min ago. i hit the "hide menu" to give more room on my screen and everytime i refresh, go to different post, and basically move aroung the site it keeps coming back up? any ideas?

i do, and it works just fine. i can post, read other threads etc. and it stays closed. however, i think when you close your browser. and then later come back to hmt it reopens because you got "logged out" and then 'logged back in" in a sense.

The Menu only comes up for me when I first visit the forums. after I click hide it doesn't come back. I like that cause if you hid the menu forever I don't think people would use it and see the new ---- added to it. I mean really, we had noobs on V1 asking, "Are there are pics of setups?" People never used the main pages and I think with this menu it will be more productive and hopefully updated more frequently

^^You make very good point grasshoppa.

and those of you with firefox can't see the hide/show button for the menu :P even though it's apprently still there as you can click just above the top of the menu and close it. but good luck getting it back open without opening a new browser page. haha

i'm sure in due time all the little kinks between browsers will be fixed. i'v heard it's quite the bitch to get EVERYTHING working perfectly for every browser. so just be patient. it will all come together.

in IE there's a grey strip above the menu and above the area where your username is and your pm's and ----. that's where the button is.

with firefox that entire grey strip is gone as well as the visibility of the button. lol try clicking in the either of the two spots indicated. you guys also have nice gay white outlining of the layout blocks and stuff. lol right on

In Firefox, you just have to refresh the page to get it back.

It comes back on me no matter what I do.
