what are some prices that i would expect at a junk yard for a vtec head to make a mini me and do i need to change the wiring harness and ecu

Re: price

the yard I go to charges 300$ for any motor they have, and $150 for any core (not running) motor, I wouldnt pay more than $100 for a junkyard head.

Personally, I'd just do the Z6 swap, and not deal with the mini-me bullshit.

you're not gonna experience that much of a difference. Mini-Me and a stock Z6 is gonna almost be the same thing.

this vtec thing is all preference. Plenty of people turbo their mini me's. Just because you do a mini me, doesn't mean you can't boost it in dec. If you got time to kill and really want vtec, do it. I'm someone that doesn't care to much for vtec, but wouldn't mind it at the same time.

Murdizzle is right on the money with that statement. Our MiniMe project is almost indistinguishable from the original VTEC motor. We did a A6/Y8/Vitara/TT Rod motor. And for the hassles with PM6 / VTEC, and getting the belt right, it just wasn't worth it. Next time we'll do the whole swap with a stock motor, and put our effort into a better turbo system and tuning.
