Re: Preventing Theft
alot of people i know remove there face plates if they dont have a alram
|
Re: Preventing Theft
Yeah should have did that

Re: Preventing Theft
Might also want to get a paging alarm. cheep ones on ebay are $120+.
|
Re: Preventing Theft
But i guess there is no real way to prevent a stolen car or items. Except a garage

Re: Preventing Theft
Its also very easy to install a fuel line cut off switch, it wont make sure you keep your car just slows them down and they might quit.
also easy to install a starter cut off switch. I have both plus a paging alarm with cut off relay so if the alarm is going off it wont start and I always turn my fuel pump off and starter when i leave. switches are hiden so they it would take a long time to steal my car. Jeff had a great idea of pulling your ECU also. |
Re: Preventing Theft
get a gun. bottom line. let all your neihbors know you have one and i dont mean by telling them. that means waving it around in your front yard when your joking with freinds. poppin off rounds into the air at 2am, and not just when your drunk either.
that would deffinitely prevent theft. |
Re: Preventing Theft
Install flame throwers under the car triggered by an alarm.

Re: Preventing Theft
Great ideas, where can i get kill switches and cut offs like you have. If someone really wanted your car, couldn't they just break your window, pop hood take out battery and tow the vehical away? Just take off the ebrake? :'(

Re: Preventing Theft
i used to have a friend who had the radio installed into the glove box. worked good never got his ---- stolen.

Re: Preventing Theft
sell your honduh
buy a buy a 88 chrysler lebaron 2.2 turbo and turn the boost up no one will ever steal it or look twice! :) |
Re: Preventing Theft
you should get the auto lock, it's a pretty sturdy piece of equipment and fairly cheap. Also that is only for starters, there are many things you can do. I say kill switch, alarm, auto lock, and the piece of ---- club just for kicks.
douche is reight it's all prevention, there is no "proof". Or you could buy a benz, I hardly ever take off my faceplate. Well maybe it being all black helps out. :P |
Re: Preventing Theft
best thing in a big city is lowjack. but i guess that wont help if they dont jack your whole car.
|
Re: Preventing Theft
if you have manual door locks take them apart and unhook the lock switch so that you cant lock or unlock your doors without a key. mine are just busted. and plus youll seem pretty smooth when you always have to go and unlock the passenger side door when youre pickin up a girl

Re: Preventing Theft
For sh*t in you car like a camcorder, radar, faceplate, put it in a backpack, drive with your back seats down, when you pull into a parking spot or at your house, throw it in the trunk, put you back seats up, secured. I used to do that until i got lazy at work one day and everything in my car out in plain view got stolen.

Re: Preventing Theft
i put a car alarm in and hocked to all the internels. Like my fuel pump starter lights ecu and to the doors and trunk. so if u cut it it kills the hole car. thats ir u can get in i also took out the door handels out inside and outside. i slows them down.
next i am installing a detachable stearing wheel. |
Re: Preventing Theft
What about busted windows?
|
Re: Preventing Theft
glass is cheap and if u brake it set the moshin detecter off. and if u manage to crawl th the broken window with all the glass i will be standing with a 9mm at your head.
|
Re: Preventing Theft
Get a boot for your wheel, heavy ------- duty, ugly as sin, and takes a metal giant to peel that big fucker off. It's kinda like a club for your wheels, but you just cant move.

Re: Preventing Theft
the thing is the car alarm gos off it shots the car down. if u cut it out it shuts the car down. and for the boot they just cut the stearing wheel with bot cutters.
