President of the USA George W. Bush in Halifax

For those of you who don't know where I am.. except for a select few (Dr.Boost) who have sent me turbo parts ;D .. your president will be in my city tomorrow (Halifax) to give some talk. I guess the local police with 10 unmarked patrol cars with the lights going and 4 full sized big black surburbans were rolling through the city practising for tomorrow when they have to take your president to where he has to go.

Anyways, now when I say I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia.. you guys don't give me weird looks when I say I'm 3000 miles from the closest HMT meet. ;D

we don't want em.

If stan is 3000 miles.. I'm about 4000 miles away:p I was interested in this because they moved the protest site 200-300m away from where it was planned. I guess it was "visible to the media".

Yea, there's some pretty serious protesting going on, that's for sure!

He came to Ottawa today and was welcomed by Mass Demonstrations of 20,000-25,000 people (including myself). Us Canadians love Bush :-X

I just watched your president's speech a few minutes ago. For god sakes, elect someone else immediately.

I like how nobody gives a reason for their dislike of bush or whoever else they dislike. he's the ------- president, he must have done something right.

I have many reason why I don't like him but lets not turn this into another pointless political thread.

I think Stan lives about as far away from me as possible, which is why UPS likes to bend me over anytime I ship to him. :'( They call it something crazy like "Zone 17" or some ---- and then they look up special codes and put special tags on the package. Then they send it through a chemical detector which then goes through a neutralizer and then it's placed in a sealed container and submerged in water until it reaches Nova Scotia, Zone 17. Then and only then can it be released into the atmosphere. :-\

The motor cade drove past us while we were at work....and let me tell you, that's no ordinary Northstar in those limos!
They were flying along one of the busiest streets in the city at roughly 80-100km/h.

I'd love to get a look inside some of those suburbans that follow the motor-cade. They've got some crazy looking antennas and some other weird odds and ends bolted to the underside of those things.

Did you mean "Timbuktu" ::)

Hopefully he forgets his birth certificate, passport and any other identification they always ask for at the border and they won't let him back in to the US.

Wait...that would mean Cheney would have to run the country...nevermind. :-\ Anyone is better than Dick...

Um...it's more like u.s.a. = canada's creepy drunken uncle, and I'm an AMERICAN saying that so I KNOW it's true!

Since the reasons for disliking him are, well, everything, it's ok to just say "I don't like him!" And he DID do something right. He got born into a family with tons of political connections and wealth. Other than that he hasn't done much else right. Look at his academic record, his military record, look at every business he ever ran, look how Texas fared while he was governor (near the bottom of every list), look how he has *united* america (NOT), exploded the deficit, cut benefits for veterans, can't find Osama, the war in Iraq, yadda yadda yadda etc., etc. There, is that enough reasons or should I continue?

Anywho, back On Topic. Yeah, our pres will visit, canadians will whine about how lousy he is, americans (half of them anyway) will whine about the canadians whining, etc ad nauseum. For what it's worth, I thought both candidates pretty much sucked, but I thought Dubya sucked a little bit more. Kerry was a largely unproven suck. That is all. P/O
