ether is the best, its hard to get the mixture right though, it also works good if you put the potato in the tip of the barrel just enough to seal the barrel, then spray your accelerate in, then after the accelerant is in put the potatoe or lime ect, down the barrel with the hocky stick or whatever you use, this equals greater compression, and as we know, bigger boom! very nice

you have them all wrong. you need to build it with 2.5 inch exhaust pipe. with a 6x6 1/4 inch plate welded on the bottom. and a little hole drilled in the side to puta fuse in. dump picilo pete powder down into it and them put the potato. thats a real potato gun. not shitting you ask ****. i had a 79 jeep wagoneer. i was standing 30 feet way and shot a potato and it went clean through the windshield. when i say clean. it was a perfectly clean round hole about 2.5 inches in diameter. ****** would launch potatoes at my neighbors house which is prolly 700 feet away. but that potato gun ended up getting blown up when i put half pound of gun powder in it and 7 potatoes. yup ****** blew up like a pipe bomb. it was sitting on the hood of the jeep and pushed the cowl down prolly like 6 inches and the whole passenger side windshield popped out like two inches. anyways thats how we do it here in the sticks.

damn, the exhaust pipe one sounds pretty crazy. I use to work at a golf driving range and we made some and those bitches were goin about 150 yards. take a golf ball and wrap it up w/ paper towel then stuff it in, that works pretty good for solid distance. my ignitor wasn't sealed very good and everytime i hit it, the flame would backfire onto my hand. kinda burned for a sec but it went away, haha. I'm gonna have to make one again. I heard you can get like a 1000 fine for havin one of these cuz it's considered a weapon.
