I found it very dirty that for 2 months all they talked about was forever stamps this etc Im in the post office 2-3 times a week sending parts off. Then go to use the automated machine and was shocked by the change(Again) had to actually ask a worker and she told me it just changed thanks for the heads up. Oh well Im going to try to get everything to fit in flat rate envelopes now.

Just rip the envelope open for slightly larger items and use a lot of tape. lol

Wait about another 5 years until the post office doesnt exist. They have been steadily declining due to email and online bill payment and its to the point they pretty much deliver junk mail for pennies. Every year they loose more and more money which is covered by tax dollars. Things are getting bad.

well the flat rate box has gotten almost my shipments but I mean to ship a small 2 ounce package is almost 3 times what it was a year ago. No bueno.

I guess gas prices just own everything

that fucken blows. I needed to ship out like a dozen flat rate boxes and at near 10 bucks, that hurts. 8 dollars I could work with, but 10!

Yeah they are really getting bad. I just started using UPS almost exclusively unless I am shipping in state.

It is almost always $10 to ship with UPS, but you get $100 of insurance, real time tracking, and door-step delivery. UPS want more and more for each service. They upped the delivery confirm and insurance rates too.

USPS pissed me off when I shipped a package to hawaii with $400+ worth of phones I sold on egay. I sent it parcel post, because usps says it would take a week or two. Well, after a month or two it still showed "electronic information received" or whatever. The guy filed a claim, got his money back, and a week or two later it showed "delivered" and was ------- signed by him. Of course, at this point, paypal was of no use :7

Re: Post Office Price Changes Again

I can agree with the shittiness of Parcel Post and I will never use it for anything. My girl ordered something online and the seller put the wrong zipcode on the package. It was just off by the last digit, they knew exactly where it was going regardless of that fact. It took 2 weeks to arrive in my city from 5 states away, then it took 2 more weeks once they found out the zip was wrong :S

Parcest post means lowest priority, so nobody gives a ---- about your package. Don't ever use that ----. I'm a cheap ass mofo but even I won't stoop that low.

I haven't used it since then. The freaking buyer chose it at the time because it was cheapest, I think he knew what would happen. AFTER I sent it, almost a week or two later, he sent an email "oh I forgot to ask, could you send it priority, parcel takes a while since I'm in hawaii."

USPS' tracking is a joke. I've got a package before and still had it show online "electronic information received. It's garbage.

Re: Post Office Price Changes Again

I just remembered too, I sold a moped frame to some kid in Hawaii. I was forced to use parcel post because the package was too large to fit on an airplane. Took over 2.5 months to reach him :o

He sent me cash in the mail though so I wasn't worried about a chargeback. He kept asking me where it was and I got tired of it real quick and ignored him :6 Then one day he says he received it.

Go online and order like 200 thats what I did this morning. Not sure if its panic talk of a post office employee or if its for real but the huge changing in pricing seems like that there may be some truth to it.

Re: Post Office Price Changes Again

ordered 150.......will order another 150 next week.

I've been pretty consistant of my ordering.

The new Large Flat Rate Boxes are thinner, kinda crappy if you ask me. I'd hate to put 50-60 pounds in one and see what happens :)

What's even more rediculous...it is CHEAPER to ship a small 1-2 ounce padded envelope to Canada or another foreign country than it is to send the same envelope somewhere in the US.

They have now planned increases in the pricing every may...at this same time.
