Possible new Daily Driver.... Opinions?
 

Found this gem in the paper today. Its a 1990 STD? Hatchback. Its got some rust as you will see, but I don't really care since its going to be my daily driver slash winter beater. The awesome part is that its only got 88k on it. The only owner is an older gentleman who was very religious about doing maintenance. He has all records. Here are the pics... Think its worth the $1000 he's asking? ;D

1000 he is asking is because of the 6000 mpg it gets most likely :X

That would be a 4 speed. That rust would kill me, but body work is one thing I can't handle. If it's got a dent or rust, it's getting driven with the dent and the rust.

I'd say it's well worth it. What else can you buy with $1000? I bought mine for $1625, but it's an Si with a ZC. :P

Get it and the 4 spd is bad ass and 40 mpg is cool too. Still have my old std shift knob

I dunno. That looks like it's gonna start paint chipping and falling apart when it tops out at 60 MPH... But I'd get it.

I don't know how anybody can complain about a good running car for $1000. Almost any car that starts up is worth $1000. Somebody better buy this car. :(

i dont understand when i got my crx for $500 people said it was a bad deal now there something out there in shitter condition and you all are saying its a good deal at twice the price.

All i know is there is 2 bullshit factors when you go out and buy a honda.
1. Ricer Value adds around a grand or 2 if it's a newer value(MAN THIS THING PULLS!!)
2. And the MPG value which adds a couple hundred

I personally have seen ef's in better condition and running for 300 dollars, 1000 seems a bit much offer him 500 then say 600 is all you have and you would be giving him your babies diaper money and ---- like that : P

Around here that is a good deal. Mayeb not in other parts of the country, but here it is. Just down the road from me is a 1988 Ford thunderbird in "ok" condition selling for $2195. Some dipshit will actually buy it too. Downtown is a beat to ------- ---- 88ish Integra for $800. This fucker is beat to hell and back. It looks like it went through the desert at 80 on a supercross track. Once again, someone will still buy it. :-\

tranny is basically shot since you cant use clutch after 1st gear but it still drives.

I had a chance to buy two 1st gen CRX's for $300, one in perfect condition, the other with a blown engine.. everyone told me not to buy, so I passed it up :(
