port forwarding for my torrents!!
Alright, so i'm on a freshly rebuilt laptop because my hard drive ---- out on me a week or so ago. I'm trying to get my port forwarding working again so i can download faster.
I have been following this guide:
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...5/Utorrent.htm
to the dot and it's just not forwarding. Utorrent runs the test to see if the port is open and it keeps failing.
When I had it working earlier I remeber it was a bitch then to set up. i think I just opened a ton of the ports and it eventually worked. I've been trying this for like 3 days and I just don't know. help!

Okay look. Use any ports over 50000 Like 51233.. Okay so you put that in utorrent to use 51233. Now in your router put in to open ports 51233-51240.. Sometimes utorrent takes longer or shorter to recognize it. Change ports about once a month or less. Oh and for the type use both.
