I remember one time me and my boy were on our way back from the drags in his CRX and were burning out from this stop sign at like midnight and went flying down this road that was a 35mph zone at about 100mph. A sheriff came out of nowhere and was chasing us, my friend just stops right in the middle of the road and tells the cop that his TPS was messed up, and he let us go They just care if you have nitrous hooked up while on public roads :P

In chicago we have emission testing, but as long as you have a full length exhast they don't care what you do. I sat in the car while they tested it, and had an afc, I said tell me when your gonna start, when he said now, I leaned it all the way down. when it was over I jacked it back up and passed by like 3%. When I was playing with it the guy asked if it was for the radio, and I said is that what I need to tell you and he just laughed. I would never live in california

Although not every stop they ask you to pop the hood, in general the whole system is fucked. I got a ticket for being "too low" without the cop measuring ----, and two days later I took the car in to the police station and told them I got larger profile tires on it and they signed it off. All the same setup, no measuring either time.
I payed $45 to smog my EG with just a D16z6 swap and I passed the emissions part THE PART WHERE IT SAYS YOU'RE NOT POLUTING, SMOG TEST - POLUTION = GOOD? ---- NO. They failed me because my timing was advanced 3 degrees. Good thing I wasn't poluting though.
It's all a money game. They don't give a ---- if they are making the streets safer, the air cleaner, or any of that ----. They only care about making that dollar. Good thing they do, cause they wouldn't have any hospitals if they didn't tax people for the babies coming out of the 3 million illegals there.
One of my cars had a check engine light that I couldn't figure out when smog day came, so I pulled the bulb. Passed the emissions, and then they failed me because they COULDN'T MAKE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON.
It's a fucken joke. If a dirty cholo isn't trying to steal your car, you're paying to fix things that don't make a ---- of a difference to the environment so that the government can make their money to support illegals getting free college tuition.
Here's a sample: When you get a fix it ticket, it gives you an amount to pay "with corrections" (putting the stock ---- back on) and an ungodly higher amount "without corrections". Makes sense that they really could care less if you fix your car, pay enough money and they'll forget about it.

Someone should cut California off and let it fall in the water.

Same with insurance. Back in the day I never carried insurance. I got pulled over about once every 6 months on average The ticket for no insurance was $430 if you didn't have insurance by court and $120 if you did. I always just paid the $430 because at the time my insurance was $261/month so it was cheaper for me to get pulled over every 2 months and if I made it longer than I was making out like a bandit. ....as long as I didn't get into an accident.

Nowadays the ticket is WA more expensive, but they still allow you to pay the fine if you don't get insurance.
