have just bought del sol 93, salvage, with spoilers,ah intake,chip mugen and other things, it has d16z6, I it see normal the motor, but eh raced with mustangs 6cil, celicas gt-s,civics dohc, and the fact that mas I impress myself winning him it went to an accord tipe-r, what I want to know is:why mi ------- shoc 1.6 motor,Ah could do it??? That is what can have this engine?? Not of mechanics but it wanted to be known what you think guys...

I want to install a turbocharger to him t-25 garret, but before it wanted to have an idea on what the engine of my car can have, thank you! ;D

ok...perdon por mi horrible ingles,pero es que me interesa mucho esto,esta es la historia,yo vivo en mexico,mi estado hace frontera con california,compre un del sol 93 Si, en un remate de autos en las vegas,el auto se miraba muy bien trae el bodi kit invader,el cofre de fibra de carbon,coil overs,etc,pero el motor se notaba normal,un d16z6 con un filtro de alto flujo, y era todo...despues revise la ecu,y traia consigo un chip mugen hx4,bueno al llevarlo a mexico,importarlo, y lavarlo,era hora de probar su desempeño,andando por las calles me encontre a un mustang 97, 6 cil,y llege y me puse al lado de el,el tipo se carcajeo de mi,no me importo,estaba dispuesto a probar mi honda del "slow",pero grande fue ver mi sorpresa al ver que le gane por una gran distancia,despues vinieron civics dohc,celicas 90-96 gt,gt-s,tambien los hice pedazos,para mi era muy raro esto pues el d16z6 creo tiene 125 whp,pero bueno,mi gran sorpresa fue cuando le gane a un accord tipe-r,como mi sohc 1.6 pudo hacer eso?
no se de mecanica para ser sincero,y por eso acudo a ustedes,para que me ayuden a intentar de comprender x que este motor que se ve tan normal,pudo derrotar a coches mas poderosos,no lo eh llevado a que lo revisen pero me gustaria,alguien sabe que podria tener este motor,para mostrar tal desempeño??? bueno gracias...y parece que el maldito idioma si es una gran barrera...bueno Bye!! ;D

thanks to living in miami i have easy access to friends who speack spanish so here is the post translated to where everything makes sense.

pardon my shitty english but im very interested in this. this is the history i live in mexico and my state borders cali i bought a 93 del sol si at a los vegas dealer. It came with an invader body kit a carbon fiber hood coil overs etc but the motor looked stock a d16z6. It has a air filter and thats it. Later i checked the ecu and it had a mugen hx4. Well after importing it to mexico it was time to test it out i was driving and i found a 97 stang v6. I pulled up to him and i wanted to see how my del slow did so i ran him and i smoked him by alot. then came a dohc civic a celica 90 - 96 gt and gts. I owned them as well. I found this odd is this really a d16z6 i think it only has 125 hp but i was really supprised when it burned an accord type r with my sohc can it be? I dont know about cars but so thats why im asking you guys so you can help me understand how i could burn all theese cars with this engine. I dont know how a car with such little horse power can beat so many cars that have much more power.

Mira como dijeron los otros, trata de llevar el carro a una pista de 1/4 de milla para ver que corre. Si el motor no tiene muchas piezas instaladas al verlo por fuera, quizas si le trabajaron en los pistones y tiene unos de mas alta compresion que haria al carro mas rapido. No me sorprende mucho el mustand ni el celica, pero un civic DOHC si es sorprendente si entendi bien, bueno y si le ganaste a los otros por mucho tambien es sorprendente.

Tambien podrias tomar fotos de el motor y el carro para ver si notamos algo diferente. Si el carro tiene pistones de alta compresion, no seria muy bueno instalar el turbo sin buena cantidad de gasolina y un buen sistema de control para el motor.

No te preocupes por el idioma, habemos muchos que podemos hablarlo y escribirlo.

ahh gracias...esta bien tomare unas cuantas fotos para mostrarlas,tanto del motor como del coche,pero ami lo que me sorprendio no fue tanto el civic DOHC,lo que me trajo hasta este foro,fue que mi 1.6 SOHC se llevara por diferencia de mas de tres coches a un accord tipe-R,eso es para mi lo inexplicable.... ???

Ahh many thanks ... well I will take some photos to show them, but what I was amazed at to match to defeat the civic DOHC, that brought me for this forum, it was my 1.6 SOHC, take the difference of three cars to an accord tipe R, that is for me inexplicable....
