I just got news that a girl I know was in a serious car accident yesterday, and is now in critical condition. She had everything going for her, she's beautiful, smart, funny, kind, and has lots of friends. Why does this kind of stuff happen to people like her? Please everyone be careful when driving.

I always worry that a close one is going to get hurt in a car accident since most of my friends are so involved with cars.

From what I'm hearing it wasn't her fault at all. This was along a windy stretch of road, and I guess what happened was a semi with a full load got a little squirly, clipped another one, and that one ran intp two cars.

a co-worker of mine left work early a few days back because of an accident we saw on the news that morning.

It was a drunk driver that killed a guy in the victim's car.

Turned out it was a close family friend. sucks when crap like that happens.

Update: I talked to a friend of hers, and he said that the guy in the truck was trying to grab soem papers that were flying around. He lost control and hit the girls door. She probably would be in much better condition if it weren't for her air bag pinning here in her seat so she got the full force of the hit. We have a crappy hospital here, so I was thinking she must not be in that bad condition. It turns out she was so bad, they couldn't move her to a better hospital. She did live, and was down graded to guarded condition, but suffered severe brain damage. At best they don't think she'll be anywhere close to normal ever again. A very sad story.

Thanks. I didn't know her that well, but its really hitting me hard. I just saw her a couple days ago. She was with her best friend smiling, and laughing. A couple weeks ago I went to a talent show at my old high school, and she lead the pep rally at the end. Its just so unbelievable that she's gone.

A close friend of mine got in a car crash on December 3rd. He was in a coma for 2 days then they pulled the plug on December 5th and he was gone. It's hard when a thing like this happens so close to home. And especially to somebody you were close to. This is just tells you that speed limits are there for a reason. Same kind of thing happened to my cousin... It was her senior year and she had it all until a semi truck struck her. She was in a coma for almost a year but her parents refused to take her off life support, now she is mentally disabled for life. However some good has come out of this, she is extremely smart! She signs to communcate with everyone. Last time I saw her I gave her a hug and she felt my belly button ring... For the next few days all ahe would do is beg me to take her to get hers done too! She cracks me up and is even more special to me!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, it always seems to happen to those that have everything going for them and especially the ones with the biggest hearts...

I always worry about my friends and espcially Jeff. It's not that I think they are bad drivers, I just worry about the other crazies out on the road...

Again I'm very sorry and she will be in my prayers :)

something similar happened to a girl i knew very well. she was coming home from prom and this guy having some road rage hit them head on. he was trying to pass another car and didnt see them. its crazy cuz i saw her the day before, and then the next day, shes gone. this girl had everything going for her... smart, funny, tons of friends. very sad stuff.

Actually I found out she was pronounced brain dead. I think they already pulled the plug, and had her organs harvested. Such a shame.

wow that really sucks, @ least she will give other ppl another cance with her organs... losing a loved one is never good, i lost my brother a lil over a year ago from a quad accident
