might has well just put a d15b non vtec w/ an si cam and it would be faster

I think it was a 2nd gen one like a d16a8 euro spec zc not that hard of a swap due to the fact the mounts atually line up just have to switch the engine driver bracket and trim the t-belt cover

It's hell enough just trying to stick one of those in an EF or ED chassis, although I have done one with a mega-custom solid tube front mount that bolted to the front crossmember. That's the biggest bitch on that motor...pretty much no driver side mount. I'd help ya out too, but like loserkidwac said...that's way too far for me. If you were up near Scranton area I'd say lets git'er done...but good luck with that buddy

ok well i know the motor isnt the best idea ever but it was cheap as ----......i has high compression pistons in it so i was told........either way it sounded good when it was in the crx...it idle surges though...ill figure that part out when its in the car....this is just gonna be a motor to have for a while not for good.......im just gonna make custom mounts so i dont have to ---- with the niceness of my eg and move the actual mounts on the car.....and then im gonna give it the bottle for a while as soon as i get it........just for ***** i guess....heh i also have to use the cable tranny so im gonna have to convert it....i also have to get the pins for the ecu and for my ecu and do the conversion that way...give or take a few wires hah....but yea im gonna need help tuesday and wednesday for sure......i need a welder if anyone has one....i think my friend thats helping me can get one though so im not sure if ill need it yet.....

so basicly i just need to make the mounts...change the wiring over....and the axels of course i dont know which ones to use though...the car hasnt been started for a year and it fired right up so thats good.....

Wow sounds like your "cheap" motor is going to be a lot of work and you are converting things you will eventually convert back...why not get a d15 for dirt cheap since people give them away and use that instead of trying to make that motor work, you should have also figured out what was wrong with the motor before you swap it, what if after all the work it isn't even a good motor Sorry to basj on you i usualy am all for the cheap/creative stuff but this is a little to extreme when there are so many other cheaper options

hey brio, come here saturday and we'll go get an engine from my local yard. or find a cheap engine and ill help you swap it and such. you're only about an hour away.

Please steer him in the right direction I hate to see all the time and money that is going to wasted in this...I think if he acctually tries it he should just give me his clean si hatch

its to late now though i dont have any money...its not gonna be that hard...it cant be......custom motor mounts(friends doing for me since i cant weld) were gonna make a template and then im just gonna let him go at it........in the mean time ill be switching the wire harness wires.....then when im done im gonna start rippin out that cable clutch system and im gonna put it in my car....but somehow im gonna make it so i dont ruin my hydrolic setup thats in it now....
