Places to visit?

I will be traveling from Fargo, ND to Vacaville, CA on my christmas break from college, and want to break up the trip a little bit. If anyone knows any sweet sites to see, places to visit, post em up. Also, I am taking a miata, and camping to save cash. If anyone could recommend a good campground that would be sweet. trying to do the round trip for less than 400 bucks...

I will be taking 94 W to 90, 90 all the way to Butte, I-15 south to N. Salt lake city, 215 to 80 the rest of the way.

Even in a tent, you can find KOA Campgrounds everywhere you go. For better scenery, hit the search Google for "State Park Campgrounds" + the state you are interested in.

$400 for 3400 miles total. What are you driving? assuming you get an average of 30mpg your looking at around $340 if gas is a even $3 like it is here.

dont forget to stop at the salt flats outside of salt lake city. or hit up wendover, that town is funny. half of it is in utah where there is no gambling and the other half is in nevada. you are driving through a ghetto ass run down town, then you cross a big white line in the road and suddenly there are huge ass casinos everywhere. looks like vegas almost. or you could go a couple hours out of the way and actually hit up vegas.
