pioneer deh-740 question?
 
anyone have this model of cd player? tongith mine started tripping out, just keeps turning itself on and off, anyone had this problem before with a pioneer?

sounds like a wiring issue. like something is shorting out or some ----.

that would be my first guess, or maybe your faceplate isnt connecting with the main unit properly, my brother had a pioneer that had this problem and it caused to to do a similar thing

i guess it was the battery ran real low. i usually have music going while working on my car doing stuff, i charged the battery today and it works fine now.

I've had 4 different pioneer decks and was pleased with all of them. They really do make quality decks. I wouldn't get speakers or amps from them though.

my brother has a 850 series which has the moving face, that model and the 8500, along with the other newer moving face ones all wear out, he just bought a kit to fix it for like 30 bucks and all u need is a screw driver, other then that ive never had any problems with others.

I have one of the 7500 models...it's a good deck, but lately the damn thing's been skippin like crazy and won't eject cd's all the way. Shoots em out about 1/4" and then stops. I've cleaned the thing like crazy and still does it. Really starting to piss me off. :7

The 740 is the sheezy, mine took a couple beatings and shes fine :)
