LOL you will still pay the SAME amount of taxes, and it will raise exactly the same as it would if they didnt have cameras. its just another source of income for your state to blow on welfare, lowlife pieces of trash. it will not benefit you in any way.
Peopl need to be babysat? good sheep, exactly what the government wants, someone to think its right for them to control your life. criminals are crimals for a reason, because they break the law and they wouldnt do anything different wether there was a law in place or not. the same goes for people who are good citizens. let me guess, you think joe shmoe who obeys all the laws throughout his life would murder someone if it wasnt illegal to kill people right? because we all need to be babysat right? :1. tell me this...would you do more un-moral stuff if there werent laws in place that made it illegal to do?

the statistics i posted showed that there were alot more accidents caused by people that werent speeding (over 25000) compared to people that were speeding (around 10,000) of the ones who were speeding something like 38% were alcohol related, and of course these are all fatal crashes and a large majority were not wearing seatbelts.
Anyway, like that uk website showed in their revenue generating camera section, alot of the cameras are actually likely to cause accidents because they put them in places where the speed limit drops from like 60-40mph and would cause you to mash the brakes to avoid a ticket. you may say that if you were paying attention this wouldn;t be an issue but what about the guy behind you?
personally i would rather move over and let someone pass me that wants to go faster than be stuck behind some dick (or a group of them) that want to go 10mph under the speed limit and won;t let me pass because they don;t think i should be speeding or whatever. also that article posted by buk really had no ligitimate safety concerns because they said they are posting cameras on the highway, not in ------- school zones.
the next step is going to be putting gps in everyones car to automatically send them a ticket when they go over the speed limit, but they might have people that refuse to pay them so to make it easier we will connect it to you checking accout and just auto deduct the fines for you, for your convenience of course. also we don't want people drunk driving and not wearing their seatbelt so lets put a breathalizer in everyones car to notify the police if you get in your car while drunk ( no more drinking a beer and working on the ole stang in the driveway) and also make it so you get a fine everytime you don't put on your seatbelt.... you see, this is the ---- you are trying to justify, speed cameras are just the beggining, i'm not making this up either, there are already companies developing this ----.

Yes, people DO need to be babysat. There are far more morons out there without common sense than there are with. So do we take away all speed limits and HOPE everybody has enough brains to drive safely? Ok guys, the world would be a much better place if they just let us do whatever the ---- we wanted. You got me. Now that we got that out of the way, you still have to deal with the fact that we DO have laws and you WILL get tickets if you don't follow them. Enjoy. :1

speeding doesn't kill people, accidents do.
i know plenty of people that have never gotten a speeding ticket but have several accidents on their record, maybe insyead of giving people fines for breaking the rules we should make rules to teach people to become better drivers, like a mandatory driving school that teaches proper car control.

Justin, did you just land a government job? lol. What I'm hearing is that you'd rather be supressed and feel like you're saving someones life than to let others learn from thier own mistakes, leaving you to worry about yourself only. We don't make laws in this country based on the 1 ***** Bubba tearing *** through town. When you do that, you bring everyone down to the same level of daycare as ***** Bubba needs, which isn't what America is about.
Let ***** Bubba face the regualar law enforcement. Anything else is just asking the government over for breakfast to ---- your wife.
And we wonder why the government is allowed to tell a private bar owner, who bought the land, the building, and the beer that he can't have smokers in his place. Thanks Justin, you horrible *** American.

Maybe where you live is just filled with tweakers, but that's not my problem, or yours. Don't defend more babysitting by the government because you live in a shithole. It effects everyone.
I really don't see drag racing going on when kids get out of school or an outrageous number of idiot drivers. Whatever you see now, you'll see when the cameras go up too, except now YOU'LL be being watched as well, just trying to live your life as an upstanding whiteboy.

If the cameras do some good and less people die and the roads are safer, what's the harm? You might get caught? That's the chance you take when you drive over the speed limit.
