Heres some pics i took at work, some are on the ground, some are from the crane basket. We are reconductoring a 138kv transmission line.

this line is de energized but we put grounds on the line because the static electricity on it can still kill you. A few structures down it was a few hundred feet away from some energized 345kv towers, and the magnetic field builds up thousands of volts in static on this line even though its de energized, drew some arcs off of it when putting up and moving grounds on it

 

holy ---- that's high. i don't know if i would be able to do that for a long period of time.
