Re:Pics of my new ride
DAMN MARK! nice Mr2!
Thought of any modz yet? If you don't mind I'd like to suggest one to you. Get a one or even two fans installed on the hood to pull hot air away from the motor. Seen alot of people do this and it really helps apparently. Looks really nice.. Clean and sleek how I like em. |
Re:Pics of my new ride
Thanks, but as far as mods go there won't be anything for awhile as Im working to get it paid off. I just installed a dual pillar pod with boost and A/F gauge. It will be going into storage soon as winters here in a couple months. But I really hope to get it painted for next year, I'm just sick of red(last two cars were red)I'm doing the research on turbo upgrades now even know I can't afford it :)

Re:Pics of my new ride
for the price of a nice paintjob you could have one badass upgraded turbo setup.
all you need is turbo, dp, exh manifold the rest is there. maybe some upgraded fuel management. |
Re:Pics of my new ride
Damn dont repaint that. :o Thats an awesome car. Looks perfect.

Re:Pics of my new ride
nice. always been a Mister 2 fan. They are just sooooo sexy. All I need to do is find a supermodel that drives an mr2 and I'd be happy as pie. Find a set of old tires and go wear em off. Those things do the slickest smokey donuts.
uuuuuuummmmmmmm dddddooooooonnnnnuuuuttttt. |

I agree about keeping the paint. That gem is nice and clean. I wouldn't touch the paint, but it's your money. Nice car. Very nice.

Re:Pics of my new ride
Thanks guys. Yah it's tight in there, actually the engines comming out soon, have to take exhaust manifold off to fix an exhaust leak. Thats the biggest complaint I've been hearing about the 2 is that to do any work on them you usually have to pull the motor. But oh well I just wanted something different, theres only two others around here.
|
Re:Pics of my new ride
so how much did you get it for.......??
|
Re:Pics of my new ride
Don't really want to say cause it was kind of high but they are rare here and I've always wanted one so I had to get it
|
Re:Pics of my new ride

Re:Pics of my new ride
whats the DL on MR2's and safety? i had a friend killed in one.. and i've been wondering if they are unsafe ( no engine to absorb impact.. just a firewall) or what.. granted my bud was hit head on... but.. i was just wondering if they have a rep for being unsafe... and sorry... not trying to jack your thread

Re:Pics of my new ride
I don't think soo..they're small cars I think my CRX is as unsafe as the Mr2 maybe mine is worse...

Re:Pics of my new ride
The thing with MR2's is you have to be aware of how they handle which is totally different from any FrWD car. With the engine being in the midle of the car and rwd you can't let off the gas during a high speed turn unless you're ready to have the ass end slide out on you and to correct it you have to come back on to gas to transfer the weight to rear and plant the rear tires, this is very hard to get use to if you're use to driving frwd cars like I was. You have to stay on the gas in the turn to keep the car planted, this is easier said then done because you naturaly want to hit the brakes to slow down. This is how many MR2's get wrecked, this happened to a local guy here, he rolled his four times but was lucky enough to walk away with a couple brusies.
