Not too bad, you little craftsman. :D Did you paint it too? The finish looks pretty smooth

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

Thanks guys, I made it out of two 2X4's and cut it down with a band saw, then filed it down with a wood file, waxed it down and put on 3 or 4 coats of fiberglass on. After that I bondoed it up, and sanded it down and painted it with some model spray paint to match my dash as close as I could, not perfect, but it's original.

Ive seen some slick homemade gauge stuff lately, yours is a part of that....

Though it looks like you could fit anouther gauge in that pod, possible an EGT gauge?

My favorite was a guy who took apart his SAFC and molded the faceplate to the centerconsle with bondo and painted it all black so the SAFC was a part of the center console

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

thats really good, really clever and definately has a nice finish. Why did you place it right there? Are you gonna make others for other spots?
Good ---- anyways

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

I have a double gauge pod for my side of my window, and i'm putting my oil press and egt there. Originaly I htought I only needed two gauges, then found out I needed three, so that's why I made this one. I put it there because I didn't want it in my console b/c you don't see it there.

good work man.

here's mine...no bondo. the narrowband led a/f gauge has since been replaced with a matching autometer egt.

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

I doubt i'll make anymore bc it took me like 5 hrs, total time. But I guess it wouldn't take that much time to make it again b/c I already have the mold. If I did make more how much would you want to spend on it?

ummmmmmm, 7200 rpms, not quite sir ;) as far as the gauge 'pod', i'm not meaning to knock you, and the craftsmanship is great, you did a great job on it, i just don't like the style/location for some reason :-\

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

yeah, but redline is at 7200 rpms. hence cheap aftermarket gauges that have a '9' on them to make your car faster ;)

Re:PICS of my guage pod I made

I have the d16, the white face gauges are exactly the same as the stock black ones underneath, redline @ 7200 and goes all the way up to like 9000. Nothing special, just a civic EX.
