actually steve, I remember the first time I met him, he was working on the celica :-X and this was a year or so ago, and well the motor regularly sits like that.

toyota tilted the motor like that so that the oil wouldn't sit too close to the ground, I"m guessing there is someting in the design of the motor that makes it taller then most, or maybe the front of the car sits lower then most, who knows.
