Pics from AUP dyno day this past weekend....

had a nice turnout for our first dyno meet...about 15 cars dynoed...ranging from 112hp to 830hp :o overall it was a good day, had representation from multiple car clubs including some old school Cobras, some Vdubbers, a handful of Hondas, some Mustangs, some Vettes, some BMWs and a couple others. Highest HP car was an 830hp Nova on 200 shot, he would have did 400 shot but the dyno would have reached its "safe" limit. some other nice runs were a 315hp untuned RX7 and a new stock C6 Vette coming in at 368hp and racintweaks freak LS(lol). but it was a really good turnout, laid back mature crowd, plenty of food...good times! ;D

but of course a good day couldn't have passed without anything going wrong..after I got back from HIN someone had broken into my car while it was parked in front of the shop, stole my radio, $300+ worth of tools and basically pissed me off...I HATE THIEVES!!!

pics and short videos of the runs here...

the C6 really suprised me...pulled 368, while the stick C5 Z06 pulled ~380...pretty close! the C6 is DEAD silent at idle, it was pretty amazing, I can imagine it with a nice exhaust system on it

the H22 hatch made 168whp...with intake and header...it had an exhaust leak and stock catback. thats the new body/painter's car.

as for the shop yeah, our owner got really lucky...the last shop only fit 3-4 cars at most and only had one lift and a paint "tent". in the new one, the REAL paint booth was a plus, it was left by the previous owner, plus PLENTY of room plus the 3 lifts and mad storage space...me and a friend and some others are trying to open our own within a few months for his Redlinemax.com company and I'm seriously hoping to find something similar, the amount pf space is unbeatable.

I think we will definently do it again....Amir was very pleased with the turnout and being that it was the first dyno/open house since the move last fall, it was a big success. Everyone who showed up was really cool and it wasn't the typical NOVA burnout, loud obnoxious music blasting, "thats mad tizight JDM y0" ricer meet...its was nice, calm, laid back and cool! I'm definently gonna suggest we do it again, maybe before or during fall before it gets cold!

i was pleasantly suprised at all the diff cars that showed up. for having a bunch of import guys, a Cobra owners club, and various other people show up it was absolutely chill. no bickering and bitching.

mid-sept would be a great time to have another, not so hot.
