Picked up another pos crx
 

never did get around to posting this. picked this up no engine/tranny. salvaged certificate from a hit in the front.

needs some straightening and new quarters, but it'll be a fun little project for my b16.
only strap i already took off from the tow was the one going through both windows :1 longest ride from pitt i've ever had

soon as I get back from vacation and get my engine back together I'm diving into this thing. Debating on letting the girl drive it or going turbo. it will be illegal for me to drive so i figure might as well let her beat on it.

260 oops impulse buy, but it's done you won't hear me cry about it.

I passed no less than 4 cops too. It took longer to load the piece of ---- than I thought so it was a tow in the dark with no trialer lights.

I'm sure you can find a better shell that's not twisted, rusted, and has a title... in georgia instead of dragging it back from pa.
and those aren't my wheels, it was supposed to have steelies and an engine harness, but after i paid for it he said he was keeping the harness and couldn't find his steelies, nagger.

I regretted picking it up when i started looking at the bent frame + rust, and that weekend my engine blew after i spent all my 'car money' from my pay. But it's pretty solid underneith and the interior is supposed to be complete, so i'll see if i can't save it.

edit: we can't even say en ay ge ge e are anymore?

Worst case I'm sure you can profit off it if you part it out. Especially if the interior is good condition, seats or climate control alone would recoup your money.

Tim I have an ef hatch thats lacking a title, been planning on stripping it a bit and then just scrapping it. Need anything?

---- yeah, i got a list. found good bit online, but the local jy was cheaper. havn't had time to go pull ---- yet.

-DPFI engine harness
-driver side fender/headllight/corner light
-rad support upper and lower (basically going to cut a car at the wheel wells so i can drill spot welds as needed)
-hood
-obd0 ecu to pirate for connector

I'm sure there's more, but i'll need to find my list.

kinda gay if he had told me hes keeping the wheels and the harness i would have told him to keep the whole car :3

yeah i was pissed but i didn't take my truck with me when i went to look at it. he said he had 10 people that said they were coming to get it that day, so i jumped in my car and drove down balls early. I woke his ass up when i got there. he was getting calls while i was there lol.

so i paid him and notarized the bill of sale.

He had some rims on it and said it would come with steelies, and the harness was there. He siad later that his friend sold his steelie. but he threw in a cat-back exhaust that i havn't looked at the brand yet. figured steelies are cheap, and i wasn't sure of his mp-dp conversion on the harness so i'd rather just start fresh with an uncut harness. I'm pretty ---- about wiring.

Ur better off taking the $260 as a loss buy a plain ticket to the west cost and buy a rust free CRX for $1500 and drive it back :-\

probably, but oh well. and I won't have a real license for another year so I couldn't even do that if I wanted to.

We'll see. I think I can save it though. what ever happened to the 'rust is weight redution save that crx' mentality of hmt?

$260 isn't that much money so it was a good find if thats what you wanted, it sucks that was shady about the other

stuff you supose to get but didn't.

Get some good pics of the front end damage.

it doesn't look bad accept for the rust.

Well i could at least get you the ecu and dpfi engine harness... as for the other stuff, i don't think that they're the same between the hatch and crx. If they are def let me know though

I agree. Is it a total loss no but its a 20 year old parts car with no drivetrain=free in my book. Either way good luck with it

I'll never own another p.o.s CRX. next one i get will be rust free and clean.. I dont care if I have to dump 5k

Lol are you kidding? A 2 seater that has tons of aftermarket support than can easily weigh in at 1800lbs or less and can easily have a d/b/h series engine swapped into.
