Physical fitness

Re: Physical fitness
I've just been trying to change my diet some, since I don't have the time or discipline to stick with an exrecise routine.
I don't drink pop, although beer is a problem (ha ha)... I've had some "heavy" friends and I guarantee it's the 2 liters of pop they drink every day that make's them fat.
I also started taking a multivitamin and eating breakfast every day. I read somewhere that the earlier you eat, the sooner your metabolism kicks in. I also heard it's bad to eat later in the evening/night because all that food just sits in your stomach while you sleep. I'm also trying to eat smaller meals and eat only when I'm hungry, instead of eating out of routine or feeling the urge to "clear my plate." Trying to drink 3 or 4 bottles of water too.
I've been doing this for a few weeks now and I don't think I've lost any weight (yet), but my body feels better. It's like feeling thinly content. Not hungry and not fat and feeling full/heavy.

Re: Physical fitness
Ok I have the same goals as you I will tell you what I have done so far. I started at 266 pnds and im not at 207 within 3 months. All I did was ran 1 mile every night and stopped drinking pop and eating late at night. watch your portions. You can basically eat anything you want as long as you don't eat alot of it. They say 30 mins of cardio a day is enough to start burning enough calories to lose weight.

Re: Physical fitness
let me start this by saying ive already cut soda back pretty much completely, but in the fast paced environment i find myself in my diet wont be the best.
hotrex - i got me some centrum yo. had it for months but just recently started taking it.
i suppose i am going to start with some treadmill/bike action. going out running isn't really an option it rains like a mother ****** here...especially right now.
right now I am sitting at 5'10" and 210-215lbs. At my heaviest around the year 2001-2002 I was about 225lbs, just before 2003 I dropped to about 185 in 6 months, and held that. Since I've started my metal fab job, I havent gained much fat, a little yea, but mostly upper body strength, and sit at 210-215 now.
