Thats right, what i was getting at is that during prohibition it was illegal to consume alcohol, however it was NOT illegal to have/possess/sell/distribute Marijuana, also neither was methanphetamine, heroin, opium and pretty much any other illicit substance you can name (remember how Coca-Cola got its name?).

So if this were 1920 you would be the criminal and pot smokers would be the law abiding citizens, the difference is that people saw the insanity of outlawing alcohol and the admendment was repealed, the same histerical bullshit that brought us prohibition in 1919 is the same hysterical bullshit that brought us the "controlled substance act" of 1970.

Meh. I'm just an abrasive ***** by nature, so probably come off more angry than I really am. IDC what the guy thinks really, but if he's going to go about preaching about following the laws like some ------- drone; he deserves to hear from the other side. My stance with substances is that it's a person's right to consume whatever the ---- they'd like. The problem I have is when they can't control themselves and become a fiend and start committing crimes to support their habit. What I'm saying is that victimless crimes shouldn't be crimes at all. One should be allowed to ---- their life up at will if that's what they've chosen to do. It's not the government or anyone's place to get involved.

Pot should definitely be legal, but I'm not too sure about harder drugs. I've never seen anyone destroy their life with a weed addiction, but I've seen it happen with coke/meth/opiates/benzos. Even in those cases, I don't think jail time is the answer. When you ---- up someone's record so they can't get a job or anything, what do you think they'll do when they get back out of prison? Addictions need to be treated as a sickness, and if they can't get over it they need to be shot.
