Performance Nissan or Kia

Performance Nissan or Kia
That is the question... I have been working @ Performance Nissan/Kia for almost 6 years now. Starting off as a lot boy in high school, then to lot manager then to full on flat rate tech. The owner of PNK has just built a brand new Kia dealership. I am kind of in a bind right now because all the people that I really enjoy working with are going over there (especially the service manager steve) I'll break it down into Pros/Cons and maybe you can help me decide..
Nissan
Pro's
-I would be working with the best Service writter & crew (who generates the most hours) and who simply kicks ***.
-Nissan Customers actually take pride in their cars and want to fix them, and actually spend money on them unlike kias. Meaning more money in my pocket.
-I've been in this shop for 6 years and I know everything about it, and wouldnt have to move my toolbox!
-Easier to work on my ---- if need be, storing stuff like parts etc.
Con's
-Nissan Warranty pay simply blows ***, their flat rate manual for warranty times are almost unheard of.
-New service manager may mean alot more new rules, still unknown
-Shop has to many technicans per crew (4) way over staffed
-Lots of cheaters in this shop and I'd like to get away for all of the drama
-Everyone on the crew weighs over 240lbs, and I dont want to become fat like them, lol
-All New Nissan's are becoming a complete bitch to work on, I.E Armada's/Titan's/Quests... Just complete ------- jokes.
Kia
Pro's
-Brand New shop, everything is new, new hoists, new special tools. Place looks ------- beautiful.
-Working with people I would consider "more my friends"
-Most of my training is in Kia and I know the cars quite well.
-Higher Seniority in the Shop than other techs
-Kia Warranty is pretty decent, straight time/DT is always covered unlike Nissan.
-Kia Training is in Cali, and I love getting practically paid vacations
-Sales Dept sells tons of freaking kia's so we would get lots of new cars to PDI (pdi's are a quick hour)
Con's
-I really dont like working on Kia's
-Nobody who owns older Kia's ever buy any maintnence/service type work, all mainly warranty work.
-New shop may mean new rules, unknown if I will be able to do the things I have been able to do in the past (projects)
-Going to be very slow the first few months
-The fact that I will have to say "Ya I am a Kia Mechanic" really bothers me. Atleast right now I can say "I work at Nissan/Kia"
-Check engine lights on all the god damn time, you think they would have figured it out by now.
Right now I am pretty much penciled in going to the new Kia dealership. Tonight our best service writter asked me to be on his team here at Nissan. So right now I really dont know what to do. I don't want to let down all the people who helped me become who I am today (who are going to Kia), but honestly I really just want to stay with Nissan. Just a big ------- mess, I was so pissed today I went across the street and filled out a application at Honda :P
Blah, any input

I hate situations like this. Whatever you do happiness is the key. Too many people hate their job and hate going to work, but if your happy doing what you do life will be enjoyable. If this means going to Kia to work with your friends or staying at Nissan for the peace of mind that you have been their 6 years just try not to get into a situation where you dont like going to work or have your friends pissed off. good luck

Well I recently have had to make a choice like yours, but mine was on a larger scale of "life". Either start up a career and stay in Arkansas (with all my immediate family close by) or go back to FL and resume life the way I was confortable and be with all my friends. Naturally I couldn't talk to my friends about it cause their views were one way towards me being in florida. I got drunk, thought about it and talked with an old friend (whom I would have most likely been getting a house with when I moved back). He did help make me feel more comfortable with the choice I had pretty much "pencilied in".
Is there any recourse that you have available if you do make the choice that wasn't best for you?
