turn down a 1 million dollar profit for your mobile home? wow. |
Re: are people really this retarded?
Not retarded, probably just already rich. Not rich enough to buy on of the houses they are planning on building, but rich enough where 1 million is not that appealing.
If I was a retired sales executive that had plenty of money and liked the place I would probably pass also. Later Randy |
Re: are people really this retarded?
“You just can’t buy a way of life,” said Tom Byrne, a 68-year-old retired sales executive from New York who doesn’t want to sell even though he would make a little over $1 million on the trailer and site he bought two years ago for $150,000. “This is my home.” |
Re: are people really this retarded?
----, I'd stay too. After getting the mill, the government would take half of it and you'd have enough to buy a shitty house in a neighborhood that was just "ok". You'd never live at the beach again unless you came out of pocket with more of your own money.
Wait, I take it back. I'd sell, take the 500,000 and build a unibomber shack in Montana. :6 |

Re: are people really this retarded?
---- THAT i live in Daytona bech Florida and its not that great. the beach gets old and he could move to a ocean front proptery for 1 mill.

Re: are people really this retarded?
If you are 68 then you don't have much life left anyway. Old people just want to be stable and happy.
My grandma would pass up a million dollars, she wouldn't want to move or have anything to do with the money. |
Re: are people really this retarded?
i'd sell my wife for $50

Re: are people really this retarded?
If I owned property like that I'd never sell it either. I used to live on a lake and it was the best thing ever. I'm a huge fan of water sports too so living on the beach would be ideal for me....even though I hate salt water and pretty much everything in it.

To not sell is retarded. If a hurricane hits the place could be underwater and never recover.
|
Re: are people really this retarded?
seriously i would sell after holding out for a while. homes are dirt cheap in FL. my g-ma bought a 4br/3ba 3500sq/ft home, inground pool, indoor/outdoor kitchens, 2 car garage, etc. for less then $300k. for some residents at the trailer park thats still over a milliion dollars in thier pocket and thier standard of living just went through the roof.
|
Re: are people really this retarded?
I would have been, where do I sign...... and start looking for a new place to retire...
