PCV as strong vacuum source
Hey fellas,
Youve been very helpful in the past, so I thought I would shoot another odd question at you: So I was in need of a 3/8" or so vacuum source for my Golden Eagle vacuum manifold. I could not use my brake booster b/c there is a 1 way check valve in its vacuum nipple in my manifold (gay I know!) So here is what I did. So I didnt have to tap my intake manifold (pain in the ass) I pull the hose that went from my manifold to my PCV. Then I ran the PCV between my MAF and my turbo. I then used the large vacuum nipple to give my vacuum manifold a signal. The fact that my PCV is going to see stronger vacuum under boost that it would in the intake manifold going to be a problem. I dont want to suck my pistons in to the head. =D J/J Zach |

Re:PCV as strong vacuum source
I was sort of worried about sucking ---- from the PCV into my compressor wheel. Although most OEM setups are like this. As we know, the manufactures dont always make sense in the way they do things.

Re:PCV as strong vacuum source
This is a MAF car, but the "PCV ----" doesnt go through the MAF, its routed between the MAF and the ambient air intake on the 14b. Its a 3G Eclispe.

Also does any company make a catch can that will hold vacuum and limit some of the ---- that sucks into my turbo?
