Paypal is now 4.2%
I've been charging people the old 3% and realize I've been short my asking price on all my parts after being paid. Finally took the time to calculate them. Turns out to be 4.2% now. Either that, or paypal's ------- with me.

You realize, paypal makes money when you pay someone, then the same company (ebay) makes more money from the same purchase when you list and sell it, then when that money is spent again they make more money.
I'm sorry, but I fail to see how it costs paypal 4.2% per transaction for the computer to subtract money from one account and add it to another. Electricity doesn't cost that much.

It does sound un-reasonable but only to a certain level.
It`s not about how much it cost them to transfer that chunk of money for you. Its about how much you are WILLING to pay to have the $ transfered.
If you are willing to use to it, you are willing to paid up to their requirments.

dude paypal is very far pricing wise. Look at what credit card companies charge very similar
On a side note its never been a flat 3 percent. It depends where the money came from savings, paypal account funds or credit card
credit card is what gets the highest percentage

Also, what do you mean by what credit cards charge? I've never been charged for using my credit card....only by Paypal.
