I was gonna do that, but I think I'm just gonna go with an ej22 or something of that nature. The STi swap is more than likely going to go into the 66 beetle I just picked up, thats a fun car right there ;)

I don't like aircooleds at all, but most people on here have no problem with them. I don't know if that vanogon is a wasserboxer or aircooled but the wasserboxer is close enough to being aircooled to just consider it as the same class of engine. If any 8v i4 watercooleds come on here, it's an automatic "GAY, VOLKSWAGENS ARE GAY". MOST of the kids who do the gay ---- are all aircooled slam it to the ground, put pretty wheels on it, homos. I'd drive a hard top rabbit over a bug any day.

Its watercooled and being that I sell slim fans, its got 'em.....it also has a 4x5ft sunroof.....no matter how you slice it, its a fun one to drive, and youd be VERY surprised at how well it handles

I had a 1954 vw ragtop type 1 with a 2.0l 914 engine, I love air cooled dubs but no love for watercooled. Hitler made them best.

Pretty much.I liked air cooled for what they were rear engine,dead simple etc.Newer VW's seam like they were designed and built by a garbage bag of autistic babies :3

you do realize that the motor is still in the rear of these things right? i think the water cooled is way better, its like having a new car, it stays cool and is reliable as hell....also adds the option to put any other motor in.....oh ya by the way its also fuel injected bitches
