Pair of R33 Garretts good buy or no????

From a local forum he said he would take 350 for the pair. I get all elbows and wastegates. Had 18k on them when he pulled of his RB26. Should I go for it?

Ceramic wheels are on Toyota CT turbos, like Supra pieces of ----.

Re: Pair of R33 Garretts good buy or no????

yes there most likely the ceramic turbine wheels. there suposidly good for 15psi or so. but there good for fast spool.

Re: Pair of R33 Garretts good buy or no????

will be running 10psi on each for a total of 20psi. Most likely will run two 38mm or look into using one wastegate for the two any one got info on that?

Re: Pair of R33 Garretts good buy or no????

what would be so hard to run 20psi? I don't have any info on these turbos and seems like noone does but call me retarded so if someone could just tell me what is wrong with them I could decide to buy or not.

(i wonder if he got it?)

in twin turbocharging, 10+ 10 will not get you 20 psi.

Psi has nothing to do with the amount of air the turbo flows. these turbos flow the same as an old fart with a urinary tract infection.

I don't think Ill have to worry about piston bits flying out my chinese exhaust tomato can muffler. One my motor is built to hold the boost. Long as it is tuned correctly and 2. I dont even have a muffler.

you shouldn't be anywhere near a turbo to begin with

i'm not cocky at all. i know a little bit, including the different between cfm's (they don't roll through an air intake), and psi. i suppose i shouldn't have said anything being that you were asking a question, but did you really believe that if you ran both snails @ 10 psi you would have 20 psi?

Re: Pair of R33 Garretts good buy or no????

is what I meant was to run 20 psi. Even a single turbo if you run say 8psi at the turbo doesn't necessarliy mean you are running 8psi at the manifold/

No, that's the CT20 that doesn't come on Supras, nor does it come on anything MR2 despite what the forums think.

ugh okay i'll baby walk it for you.

just an example not real life ----:
lets just put it this way. lets say you have 1 turbo on your car @8psi. that motor would produce 100 air points.
if you just so happen to add another turbo you'll have 2 turbos @8psi. that motor would produce 200 air points.

you don't get double the psi. you get double the flow of air.. @ the same psi.

get it? the math is easy.

1turbo x 8psi = 1x(8psi)
2turbo X 8psi = 2x(8psi)
2turbo X 8psi = 16psi <------ is totally incorrect

not to mention 20psi + ceramic wheels don't go together too well.

CT26 doesn't have a ceramic wheel?

No, only the super rare JDM CT20 does. Or some ---- like that. One of my Toyota trash friends is always going on about the distinction.

Actually, this guy has already turbocharged a VG30DE in an older model Maxima...it's in the FI section. But naah man, two turbos at 10psi is not gonna net you 20psi overall. I know you don't wanna hear it 'cause your mind seems pretty set, but you're gonna have to put a good bit of work into running both of your turbo's on your engine, and I just don't see how you're gonna benefit from it too much...not with the engine you have and the way it's already setup. Me personally, I'd be content with what I have and just step up to a bigger turbo, especially if you already have a built engine...

Actually its VG30E but thats besides the point. I didn't mean it like that to get 20psi. I will be running around 20psi. Ive started on the headers and decided to just save up and do GT2860R that way don't have to worry about the ceramic wheels and gain BB. Just need around $1600. Its a winter project so maybe when get farther along will post up in fab section. Do have 2 T28s to mock up with.
