I've actually seen, statistically proven, that countries with all drugs being legal have less of a drug epidemic than we do here.. maybe we should take a hint? Of course our government doesn't want to make this stuff legal, they can't tax it ::)

I don't believe legalizing drugs will help anything. If we legalize drugs, that would mean millions of people would be set free from jail and released into the population. Eventually they will make their way back to jail when they move onto more serious crimes, such as armed robbery, burglary, and murder. I couldn't imagine what California would be like if drugs were legal. :-\

Very true, but those places have the drug dealers and stuff but their population who does drug is drastically lower than ours. Our #1 import last year in the United States was actually marijuana.

the legalization of narcodics will just cause a bigger problem, cuz people in our country will just abuse them, like everything else. Germany is basically no drinking age, you kno why? cuz they dont abuse it, we drink to get drunk and be under the influence of alcohol, they drink cuz its part of ther culture. Like jamaica, marijuana is culture to them...people in the US cant be trusted with privledges such as legalization of narcotics.

The real reason is the US govt makes waay too much money off of it being illegal. Look at all the prisoners, anti-drug funding, the DEA...all Very high dollar money making things..Legal drugs=No money...except a piddly tax.

That's true as well.. They can tax cigarettes and booze, but how many people make/grow cigarettes and booze in their basement? They don't need to so they don't. People grow marijuana, have meth labs etc and the government can't tap into that.. maybe if there were industries distributing it, who knows. You're right though, I didn't think of that, they do make a lot of money off of it as-is.

In my mind, here's the one catch about legalizing anything.
You have a nation of people being restrained from something.
Take away the restraint and how many people will try drugs? Misuse them? OD on them?
On function of the laws are in place to prevent people from harming themselves.

I agree with Justin.If you legalize drugs all the people that have thought about using them but dont buy them because of fear of getting cought buying them and loosing what they have will go right out and do it.Then this country will be over run by junkies.It will make the problem worse IMO.

I think they should do a study about how many people in the US die per day from complications with prescription drugs vs. those that die from overdose or kill themselves (slowly) from illegal narcotics...the results would be mind blowing.

you carry an ounce of weed here, its a felony, you goto jail for a nice little while, canada they dont do ----, 100 bucks maybe, and i read a while back this guy was growing around 1000 plants and all he got was probation, here, if you did that, y ou would be in jail for nearly the rest of your life, canada is better with their laws, but their money and weather suck :P

It was a park where you were allowed to shoot heroin, the ---- i saw on tv about it was probably the sickest real life ---- i have ever seen. And an ounce is bullshit, so is a qp....pot is bull ---- to begin with....court systems look at pot A LOT differently than narcotics. It's practically a joke compared to heavier drugs. A lot of my friends got caught with multiple pounds and they paid out the ass for a good lawyer and got off with probation....

Man, I got some fucked up joints. The cartilage on the backside of both my kneecaps is fucked. Doctor says I will need surgery when I can't take it anymore. I have a herniated cervical disc, I broke my left wrist a couple of times, tore the cartilage in my right wrist twice in the last year (actualy just got out of a cast last tuesday) and they might be putting a cast on my left wrist for a cracked bone and torn cartilage, find out about that this tuesday. I am suppossed to be wearing braces on both wrists right now. I am pretty much in constant pain of some sort and my doctor always asks me if I want something for the pain and I say no due to fear of becoming addicted to that kind of ----. Maybe I should take that ---- next time and sell it to buy turbo stuff :P

*Edit* I don't ever remember taking VIOXX, but I have taken things that are similar that were suppossed to reduce inflamation and ----, but they can sometimes rip my stomach to shreds

Haha, how do I get ahold of you, just dial down the center?!?! LOL. My wife has a bottle of oxycodone in the cabinet. I guess it is a substitute for percocet. I took one once cause I wanted to be able to sleep for more than 3-4 hours. It didn't seem to help much and I felt like my head was filled with jello the next day.
