oversized go-cart
 
im thinking about building a rear engine go cart using a dx motor and my left over parts header, tranny, ect has this ever been done before

Ive seen a rail car (little bigger than go kart)with a b16 before so yes it was pretty fast

me and my friend were wanting to do a d16z6 turbo gokart but we are both broke but if we ever hit the lottery or get rich I am sure we'll do it

that is too much power i will start out stock do you have any shifter ideas (rear engine)

guy near me has a gsxr 1000 powered golf cart that runs low 11s......ima try to go get some pics....thing is insane

an auto 100hp engine in a mini rail.. would be hella fast lol Id worry about my saftey.

Buy a race seat that is made to fit you like the sparco EVO 1,2, and 3 they go from small to large. Make a roll cage and beef the ---- out of it. Oh lots of padding too. that should keep you safe and stuck in the seat. that is the only way I would build one.

You don't need to use an automatic, you just need to rig the shift linkage... It would work from the front, think about the motions, they dont change regardless of if the tranny is in front or in back of you... (if my brain is working right, picture me making shift motions)
