I'm pretty sure that an open downpipe would not cause you to overheat. Is you radiator fucked? Running to lean? How long have you been boosted before this happened?

Re:Overheating with my h22, t3 turbo
we have a brand new del sol vtec dual core radiator. Air fuel is monitor with a wideband. in boost its around 12:1-11:8. No sign of little bubbles in radiator when the cap is open. Brand new radiator cap. I dont know if its the head gasket leak or what. It just started to act up. been boosting for 3 months now.
It does it once in a great while. It doesnt do it when driving around in town. Just hiway speed and going through the steep mountains here in utah. |

oh and maybe its because your using a 2.2 turbo motor on a 1.6 leiter radiator. and buy some higher rpm fans
