i was thinking the same thing, but there is no load on the engine or tranny so it would be pretty easy to do that in any car...

Re:Our Cars Get Broke-In Properly... LOL

For some reason thoughts of blow-bye with only a few thousand miles showing race through my head, broken rings and scarred up bearings aren't on my wish list for any car i purchase....Ten year warrentys great but i'm sure it'd be a sour note for the buyer when he has his engine replaced within a year.... The old trick of breaking a motor in likeyou expect to drive it only pays off if you drive like my grandmother... in other words 500 to 1,000 miles of patient driving then you can almost certenly beat the ---- out of it for years to come! Imports may be my new thing but I've been building Small and big block chevys for years...and have had "built" bottom ends (aftermarket rods, pistons, the entire rotating assembly balanced to the sub gram) only to get throttle happy early and send all my hard earned money flying out the side of the block...---- that ----. I can control my lead foot for a few weeks....

Reminds me of when I picked up an 87 Hyundi Excel for free, I was replacing the grese in the axle boot and the clamp. I had the Hyundi peg'd. The speedo when to 85 but I tell you what the Pos was shaking so bad I though it was gonna fall off the jacks. Oh yeah I sold it for $500 and I only put $30 into it....

:o Hell i dont care.Thats what a warranty is for.I put the 10 miles on them on the street. When im done the car can handle an customer abuse.Except the lack of matinence which usually occurs with cheap cars.Oh yeah i know for a fact that these cars an the nissans can handle any speed shifter out there.Just cuz a car cost big bucks does mean it can handle the abuse.

I use to hear the tech's complain all the time at the Audi/Porsche dealership i worked for but most of them would make the sales person or service advisors drive them. But i see it from the tech's point since our shop was flat rate like most are so the guys didnt want to go for a joy rid for every prep they did. I guess none of them thought of doing that or they didnt want to get in trouble for it.
